Christian Family Life Center, Inc (CFLC) was co-founded in 1979 primarily as a counseling agency by Joan Bystrom, MSW, and Kathy Van Dyke, MSW. CFLC branched into domestic adoption in 1982. They focused on and became advocates in Missouri for "open adoption" and "immediate placement of children in adoptive homes." CFLC has been blessed to have worked for hundreds of birth parent(s) and adoptive parent(s) over the years in the building of families through adoption.

Their international journey began with Romania in 1997 and expanded into Guatemala, Bulgaria, and Ukraine. CFLC has been blessed to have conducted Home Studies for adoptive families not only in the afore mentioned countries, but in Russia, Kazakhstan, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, North Korea, and China.

CFLC expects to expand its services to specific areas of counseling relative to adoption issues and searches and reunions.

CFLC is a not-for-profit 501c(3) Corporation and a State Licensed Child Placing Agency.
