Romania was Christian Family Life Center's first direct inter-country/international adoption program. We believe that we have many friends in Romania and love the country of Romania as we witnessed the strength and resolve of her people to work toward democracy after the overthrow of Ceauşescu.
Sadly, for the Romanian Orphans and all the dedicated workers in the field of child protection in Romania, after immense pressure from (at the time) England's Repertoire to the European Union, the Romanian Government declared a moratorium on adoption. The Moratorium went into effect in June, 2001. Although the moratorium was thought to last only one year, it went on to be declared in June, 2004 as being permanent with the exception of inter country adoptions.
Christian Family Life Center, Inc. is grateful to have worked with the the staff of the IULIA Foundation from 1998 to 2001 in facilitating adoptions for the legally orphaned child, by placing them in permanent, loving adoptive homes.
We ask that you uplift the country of Romania and its leadership in prayer. The Romanian people are precious to God and to us.
